Can I self-install my Yale Digital lock?

We would recommend you to engage our Yale installers for installation for warranty purpose. However, installation will be provided when you purchase with us from any of our Yale Exclusive Partners or Yale Smart Shops. You may also contact us to approach our installers to install your lock with ease.

All Yale products comes with detailed installation instructions.

How do I determine the handing of a door?

The handing of a door is always determined by facing the exterior of a door.

  • If the hinge is on the left side of the door, the door is left handed (LH).
  • If the hinge is on the right side of the door, the door is right handed (RH).

When ordering a handed product, specify LH or RH. Not all products are handed; only specify handing when required.


How long is my warranty?

Our warranty is applicable in the Republic of Singapore only. The length of warranty depends on the Yale product you have. It can be found on your warranty certificate. If you are unsure, you can contact our Yale Support Team to enquire. 

Yale Safe and Yale Accessories is 1 (one) year warranty (eg; Remote Control, Module, RFID Card/ Sticker, Yale Door viewer, etc…)

Yale Digital Door lock is 2 (two) years warranty.

In the unlikely event of your Yale product failing, Yale will provide basic repair and /or parts replacement service without charge during the warranty period subjected to the following limitations and exclusion:

a. Malfunctions or damage resulting natural disaster, fires, civil unrest and/or accidents.

b. Defects cause by misuse, physical damage, abnormal operation or handling, negligence and/or any unauthorized tampering/alterations/repairs by any other than YALE Singapore.

c. Battery leakage (even when the original battery is being used).


A one to one replacement will be possible if there is more than 2 defects repair work reported within the full warranty period.

What can I use to clean my Yale lock?

Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on any components as this will destroy the protective clearcoat finish and void the warranty.
Please use a water dampened, soft cloth to remove fingerprints.

Note: Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust or that they contain acids or caustic agents.

What do I need to do for claim of warranty ?

Please keep your warranty certificate or proof of purchase and contact our Yale Support Team ( +65 6880 0710 ) when your Yale product fails.
